The Scottish Games & Highland Gathering

Saturday, September 19, 2015

The Scottish Games and Highland Gathering at Boone Hall Plantation is yet another special event held at the plantation that makes Boone Hall one of the most unique venues in the Charleston, SC Lowcountry.

The experiences to be had at this world-class Scottish event are destined to leave lasting impressions. To name a few, are the spectacular Heavy Athletics sporting events [e.g., The Sheaf Toss, The Stone of Strength, The Caber Toss), the music of over 25 bagpipe bands echoing through the oaks, Highland Dancing dating back to the 11th and 12th centuries, Celtic rock bands dressed in kilts, and a Border Collie Demo featuring some of the most beautiful dogs in the world.

Scottish Clan Tents, Scottish merchandise, Scottish raffles & prizes, Scottish cuisine, Scottish children's games loosely fashioned after the Heavy Athletics, and so much more will be there… and so might you be!

In 2014, over 5,000 people from all over the world attended these games, put on for charity that benefits the Scottish Society Of Charleston. For TICKETS and more information on the 2014 Scottish Games and Highland Gathering at Boone Hall Plantation, visit The Scottish Society of Charleston, Inc.@
